since i made it here, i can make it anywhere.

Starbucks | yellow cab | New York Fuckin City | Brooklyn skyline |
pigs | blood | Gotye at Radio City Hall.

New York is a thriving city for anybody who wants to be somebody. the bright, flashing lights illuminating the overly crowded streets gave me a keyhole perspective into a stranger’s life. one that i could possibly see myself living.
NYC has been the more festive leg of the trip, which i had initially had hoped for. avenue after avenue, drink after drink, and one artery clogging meal after another, this stay has been nothing but typical. ‘buffalo’ is the game, and messed up is how you come out of it.

enjoying our last few hours in the Big Apple at the beautiful NY Public Library after our Starbucks hit. i think my friend is more than ready to head off to the next city. you need a strong backbone to survive living here. mine is still a little wobbly so i will need to toughen up on my return.

next stop San Francisco...

Get the London look.

LFW Somerset | Christopher Ciccone shoe launch | Big Ben | side alley instagraming | house party |
Jefferson Hack and Rankin, Dazed & Confused exhibition.

just about to leave London town. it’s been a busy 8 day stay. there was a lot more to see here, fashion wise, compared to Paris. the British men were pristine, while the teens exuded a very punk culture. a lot of different characters to see out on the streets and interesting conversations to eavesdrop on in the tube.

department stores are amazing here, especially Harrods, Liberty and Selfridge, and not to mention the Topshop/Topman flagship store. it’s a whole different ball game when it comes to visual merchandising and styling. i had a lot to learn.
visited a lot of modern museums. had some good times over lobster and drinks with some old friends from back then, as well as meeting a bunch of interesting creative people who are now part of my networking circle.

in the meantime, our flight out to Geneva is delayed and we will probably most certainly miss our connecting flight to NY. sucks to be us right now.

eyes wide open.

WHITE DRAMA Comme des Garcons.

Cristobal Balenciaga exhibition.

Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs exhibition.

when in Paris.

four days and four nights in Paris was enough time for me to get the Parisian experience and feel for the city. got to smile back at Mona Lisa at the Louvre, checked out the Louis Vuitton/Marc Jacobs exhibition, passed by Les Docks to see White Drama by Comme des Garçons and the Cristobal Balenciaga showing, and wandered thru the Musée D’orsay to view some Monét. Surprisingly, i did not get to experience much fashion inspiration from Paris. but the city itself, with its French architecture and famous monuments were beautiful and breath taking. we finally found the arty strip around St Germain on our last day. met a local artist whom i of course purchased a couple of artworks from. and that was that. Paris in 4 days. ready to head back to London…

this game is very religious.

i've visited zen places in Tokyo, threw coins in the wishing well, and put out my wishes to the universe.  in Paris i stopped by the Sacre Coeur to light a candle and even went into the Notre Dame and left a piece of paper of prayers. i'm not the religious type, but spiritually my heart is there. somewhere. each time i have wished for the same thing. come soon Mr. Wish Sir...

Tokyo street boys.

i’ve always thought the Japanese had an effortlessly cool sense of style, but never did i expect to fall in love with the boys of Tokyo. walking through Harajuku, i anticipated seeing the crazy infamous Harajuku girls. but instead i was entertained by how fashionable the boys were. tall, lean figures dressed in so many different types of silhouettes, from the oversized tradesmen gear, to the super slim line cut attire. streetwear at its extreme awesomeness. it's become evident where some celebrities (Pharrell and Gwen) get their street sense of style from!

I LOVE TOKYO BOYS!

catching the dreamers disease.

i wrote out a list in my head as to what i wanted out of this year. one by one i’m crossing it off, and bit by bit i’m adding to it. if you have read any of my past posts or know me personally, you would know what this particular date marks. i dread this time of year, but this September it’s all going to change. life has definitely been altered in the past two years, so this post is dedicated to every single person that has had some kind of influence on me and my big dreams. still learning to let go of things that hold me back, but i’m hoping this trip will help me break bad habits. in all honesty, i’m scared shitless and i’m still unsure about things i want to do when on the other side of the earth. i guess we’ll just play it by ear and make the most of each situation. friends, please don’t worry about me, i’m in charge and take responsibility for all my actions. this is about me, not him. no need to hold anything against the ones who have treated me less than i deserve in the past. i have a greater ability to love than i do to despise them. i’ll let go when i’m ready.
so i open my sketchbook to a new page and re-focus my lenses on a world waiting for me and my friend Machi. i’m stamping the world like i said i would. first stop Tokyo.
