call it vandalism.

i would say ingenious.

i often feature unknown artists on my blog because i want to share the crazy shit my friends come up with to the world wide web. and i don't do this lightly, i will only post up work that i truly back up. in saying that, i'm not quite sure why i have not already done a post about this boy i've known for eighteen years. i found these progress shots on my brother's camera the other day and i was kinda impressed. these are some pieces done by him and his mates.
the brother and i have a love/hate relationship, but at the end of the day i'm always going to be there to lend him money and support his art. plus, he's the one who taught me how to drink and plays the best pranks ever, (but that's a whole other post!). although he was a dropout i've always thought highly of him and what he can achieve. he's one of those individuals that can do anything they put their mind to. seriously, he taught himself how to play the drums and keyboard (via youtube), mastered the camera, fixes and breaks his own bike, draws crap all over the place, and buys uber clothes that i can borrow. he's a talented little shit that is still scared of the dark! haha, some things never change...

once wed.

coincidentally while i am blogging about my recent projects, one of my besties has uploaded her pics from her wedding from last April. lilac/dusty pink seems to be a reoccurring colour. hopefully my next project is black or something. c'mon guys, throw me something less girlie please. cheers.

all in a hard days work.

...more like a crazy months worth of work. i know, i know, i need to learn to manage my social life and work time better. the biggest reward in it all is seeing how uber it looks on my clients. the first lilac dress would have to be my stand out of the year. and it doesn't hurt to have a gorgeous girl rocking it out! i had been working round the clock trying to finish off these 10 bridesmaid dresses in the last month or so. and may i say, i am so releaved  it's all over.
but no rest is for the weary. i must start on my first bridal dress soon, due this December. my last wedding for the year! you guys are killing me with all these weddings haha. but at the end of the day, this is designing...

rainbow styling.

if you know me well enough, you'd know i don't do too well with colour. but this may be one of my favourite window runs. work has been good for us lately. still hectic as ever, but good. i've also just moved out of the west and into Drummoyne until further notice, i get to see the beautiful view of the bay every morning on the way to work. only surrounding myself with the positive and getting rid of the baggage. life is good.

pancakes and wizards.

i re-met this boy i once knew from what seemed like light years ago. i remember drawing his portrait in  art class in year 7, and more than a decade down the track i find myself looking through his portfolio of work. he may or may not kill me if he ever saw this post about him, but i don't even think you know how amazing you are... amazing enough for me to trust you to design and do my next ink =)

dw by Kanye West.

Mr. West, Mr. West... oh how you surprise me with your talents!
i am not a fan of celebrity labels, but Kanye's Paris Fashion Week runway debut is certainly gaah worthy.
the contrasting textures, obsolete shapes and intricate detailing is quite clever
if i may say so myself. now, how to get my hands one of these pieces...
